How to play
Pick a game for a quick primer on how it's played, plus a few of its most notable cards.
Centering check
Drag the white corners to the card's edges and the gold corners to where the border meets the art. The shaded bands are the borders being measured, so you can see the answer before you read it. Both axes count separately and the worse one is what a grader goes on.
Photograph the card you are holding. Straight on, filling the frame, flat on a surface. Shot at an angle the borders will not measure true.
The catalog picture cannot be used: it is the publisher's artwork, centred perfectly on every copy, so it would read 50/50 no matter what your card actually looks like.
Centering only. Corners, edges, surface and eye appeal are graded too, so this is the ceiling a card can reach, not a prediction. PSA also allow a small variance for a card that presents well.
Scan a card
Reads the card straight from the photo with Scrydex's recognition model, not text OCR. Raw cards and graded slabs both work, and it picks the grade and cert number off a PSA, CGC or BGS label on its own.
Picking a game and set in the search below before you scan narrows the candidates and avoids mix-ups between lookalike prints.
Search by name or number
A name, a collector number like 054/189 from the bottom corner of the card, or both together. Giving both lands on the exact print straight away.
Card from a set that just dropped and isn't showing up? The card database usually takes 1–4 weeks to catch up on brand new sets. That's not this app breaking.
Appearance
Light or dark, then which one. Match device follows your phone or laptop, including on an automatic day/night schedule.
Each ground changes the surface, its gradient and the metal. Nothing else moves.
Ice accent
Where the saturated ice appears. In the reference it only shows where the glacier opens, so it marks depth or attention rather than sitting still.
Surface texture
The tooth of the ground itself. All generated, no images.
Crown
The mark in the header, and on your cards.

Signal thresholds
Rule-based only, no AI prediction. "Sell Candidate" fires when a card's current market price has risen this much above what you paid (or its first tracked price, if no purchase price was set). "Watch" fires when it's dropped this much.
Fix Bad Matches
Older versions of this app could auto-link a card to the wrong set when two sets share the same card number (e.g. Base Set vs Base Set 2, both numbered 1-130). That silently mispriced them. This has been fixed for new matches, but any card already linked wrong is "stuck" since a normal refresh just re-checks the same (possibly wrong) card ID rather than re-matching. Use this once to un-stick every auto-linked card so the next Refresh All Prices re-matches them properly.
Speed Up Future Refreshes
After 3 failed attempts, a card stops being re-checked on every Refresh All Prices. It's probably a genuine gap (obscure promo, JP-only, brand new set) rather than something that'll suddenly appear. That's what makes later refreshes lighter than the first one. If a set you were missing has since had time to get indexed, use this to give unmatched cards a fresh shot.
Duplicates
Cataloging is now merge-aware going forward: adding a card you already have (same set, number, type, and condition) folds it into the existing entry instead of listing it twice. Use this once to condense any duplicates already sitting in your collection from before that.
Privacy and Data
Everything is stored on the server (not this browser), so it's accessible from any device. Export a backup occasionally as an extra safety net, or move your collection to/from other apps.
Import from another app
Import a CSV export from Collectr, PriceCharting, or a similar spreadsheet, it auto-detects which columns are name/set/quantity/etc. and shows you a preview before anything is added, since every app's export format is a little different.
